January 20, 2003
Beginning January 6, 2003, Wilson Trucking
Corporation introduced a new linehaul load
plan and driver schedule.
The load plan allows Wilson to move shipments
with more predictability, which will improve
service. We also evaluated all 1600 of our
terminal-to-terminal lanes, and were able
to improve our transit time by one day in
206 lanes.
Besides needing fewer days to move through
the system, many more shipments will now
arrive at their destination terminals earlier
in the morning, allowing Wilson to deliver
more freight earlier in the day.
Highlights of the load plan include greatly
improved service in these lanes:
The load plan and schedule are the biggest
single change ever in Wilson’s operations,
and are part of Wilson’s continuing commitment
to become the premier LTL carrier in the
southeast.
