Nashville, TN - Wilson Trucking held a Tennessee
Truck Rodeo run off in Nashville on March
24th, 2007. This was held in Nashville for
all drivers that are domiciled in the Tennessee
terminals that wanted to compete in the state
competition this year on May 11th and 12th.
These terminals include Nashville, Chattanooga,
Memphis, Bristol and Knoxville.
There were 9 drivers competing in this event;
5 from Nashville, 2 from Knoxville and 2
from the Memphis terminal. The employees
and their families had a good day of fun
and had lunch together. There were about
65 - 70 people in attendance for lunch but
more than this came and went during the day.
There were also activities for the children
as well.
President Chuck Wilson and his wife, Vice
President of Safety and Human Resources,
Jim Bailey and his wife, along with several
employees of the safety department were in
attendance.
It was a great success and the final result
of this is that all 9 of these drivers will
be competing in the state competition this
year. All drivers that competed in this had
to do a Pre-Trip Inspection as well as drive
the course. Both areas were scored and all
drivers did really well. Wilson Trucking
is pleased to have these drivers representing
us in the State competition in May.
