Columbia SC - Wilson Trucking Corporation's driver, David Shumpert, was named "Rookie of the Year" at the South Carolina Trucking Association's Truck Driving Championship competition. The annual event was held at Midlands Technical college on April 20 & 21 with more than ninety South Carolina drivers competing. Shumpert may have been a "Rookie" at the competition, but he has ten accident free driving years with Wilson. Shumpert works as a local driver at Wilson's Columbia service center.
