| Freight Rating Program Download Instructions | |
Please follow these instructions for downloading and installing the Wilson Trucking Freight Rating Program.
| 1) | If needed, print this page for later referral. |
| 2) | The Wilson Trucking Rate Program is a Windows program. It will run on all versions of Windows. |
| 2) | Create a folder or subdirectory on your hard drive. For the following instructions, this folder will be called "WTVARATE". |
| 3) | Download the Wilson Trucking Rate Disc Program (5,825 k). Your browser may ask you to "Save File.." or "Save File To Disk" - choose that option and save the file in the WTVARATE folder. If prompted, do not choose the "Open" or "Run" option. |
| 4) | Run the downloaded program (WTVARATE.EXE)
from the Run option, or Windows Explorer.
This file is a self-extracting ZIP file.
When the Unzip process begins, you will be
presented with several windows. The first
is titled "Wilson Trucking Corporation
Rate Program". It is recommended that
you not change the destination directory
from C:\temp\wtva. Click on the Finish button to start the unzip
process. When asked, "Create C:\temp\wtva
directory?", click the Yes button.
This
will extract the files. Click the Okay
button
on the Extraction Completed message.
The
rate program installation will begin..
On Windows 7, the installation will not begin on its own. You will need to use Windows Explorer to navigate to the C:\temp\wtva directory and double click the setup.exe file to start the installation. There are several options available during the rate program installation. If you have a previous version of the Wilson Trucking Rate program that you wish to retain, you may want to change the Destination Folder as the default (C:\WTVA) is the same as previous versions of the Wilson Rate program. To change this, click the Browse button, and either type in the desired folder name or use the explorer window to navigate to the desired folder. If you changed the folder, click the OK button to return to the Setup window. Click the Next button. The installation program will create a program group named Wilson Trucking Corporation unless you choose a different folder or type a new name in the field. Click the Next button and the program will be installed. |
| 5) | To start the Wilson Trucking Corporation Freight Rating System, double click the "Wilson Trucking Corporation" icon in the Wilson Trucking Corporation Program Group. |
| 6) | Complete Help instructions are available in the Help file within the program or by clicking the "Wilson Trucking Help" icon in the Wilson Trucking Program Group. |
